DISPLAY BOARD COMPETITION FOR CLASSES

 What is a Display board?

The display board in a classroom is a large board or surface on the wall used to display visual aids, student work, or educational materials made of cork, fabric, or whiteboard material.

Why we are having a Display Board competition?

To enhance students' learning experience, we provide visual aids, information, and resources that support the curriculum.

To create a visually stimulating and interactive environment that engages students and facilitates the achievement of the learning outcome.

To showcase the student’s talent.

To promote active learning, communication, collaboration and leadership skills among students.

What is the contribution of the class teachers to the bulletin board competition?

1. Selecting and Guiding the Theme: They may provide students with guidance and suggestions regarding the content and visual elements to be included.

2. Providing Materials and Resources: The teacher may supply or arrange for the necessary materials and resources needed for creating the display board, such as construction paper, markers, scissors, and glue.

3. Supervising and Assisting Students: The teacher supervises the students as they work on preparing the display board, providing guidance, assistance, and feedback as needed. They may also demonstrate techniques or help students troubleshoot any challenges they encounter.

4. Ensuring Relevance and Quality: The teacher ensures that the content displayed on the board is accurate, relevant, and aligns with the learning objectives of the lesson. They may review and approve the final layout and materials before the display is presented to the class.

5. Encouraging Student Engagement: The teacher encourages student participation and engagement in the process of creating the display board, fostering collaboration, creativity, and a sense of ownership in the classroom environment.

6. Using the Display for Instruction: Once the display board is completed, the teacher may use it as a visual aid during lessons to reinforce key concepts, showcase student work, or provide reference materials for students.

7. Team formation. Since all the students in the class cannot participate in the competition, a group of ten students can be formed from different types of students.

8.  Timeline- Teachers should sit with the students to prepare the timeline for the project.

How the student will execute the arrangement of the display board?

1. brainstorming session on the theme: Students will plan the areas related to the theme to give a multidimensional approach.

2. Gather Materials: Collect materials such as construction paper, markers, coloured pencils, scissors, glue, and any other supplies needed for the display.

3. Plan the Layout: Sketch out a rough layout of how the display will be organised, including where each element will be placed.

4. Design Title and Headers: Create catchy titles and headers for the display board that clearly indicate its topic or purpose.

5. Mount and Arrange Materials: Use adhesive or pins to mount the visual aids, student work, or other materials on the display board according to the layout plan.
